my car wont stop it a 2000 grand prix SE

My car is a black grand Prix SE year 2000. One day I wasbdriving and my brakes suddenly
went out... now I have to pump my brakes to get it to stop and if in have to suddenly stop I
have to floor board them and it squeals my tires and jerks my steering wheel. My uncle
said it was the master cylinder.but I'm not sure.. anyone v any ideas?

It could be the master cylinder. It could be a broken brake line. But whatever it is, stop driving it and get it fixed!

Your car is dangerously unsafe to drive. I agree it is most likely the master cylinder. It is either worn out or very low on fluid. Make sure it has enough fluid in it. If it is very low you need to figure out where it went. You could have a wheel cylinder or a caliper leaking slightly. If it was a broken brake line I don't believe you would have any brakes at all, but they need to be inspected as well.

Very unsafe right now, get the lines fixed or brakes bled so you can be safe on the road....take it to a gm certified mechanic
