Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and I can't
find the power steering reservoir. I am part the
point of needing some this morning I could barely
turn the wheel coming out of a parking space.
Please help! I got an oil change and they told me
the power steering was electric and I'm like wtf
never heard of such. Anyone who knows the real
deal please help me out!

Passenger side behind the engine near the firewall way down where you can barely see it. Get a light so you can see down there. You can reach down and get the cap off. A funnel with about 18 inches of hose on it or a transmission funnel will be needed to get fluid into it.

And no, it’s not electric. Some cars are, but yours is not.

Thanks so much! I found it easier to get to by removing the coolant overflow, it gives more room to work. Whine and hard turning is gone! Steering is better than when I first purchased the car
