car won't start

Hello I have a 1996 grand prix and I just started
having an issue with this car yesterday. Because I
know nothing about auto parts or engines my car
will turn over like the radio and car would come on
but won't start. I was told it could be the account
compressor or a bad terminal wiring. I was
wondering could this be accurate? Or is that the
main problem?
