why does my speedo read 2 times speed im going

I would check and make sure the speedometer cable is still working properly,and have you recently bought new tires?Sometime with tires that are taller or wider can cause the speedometer to read differently.

Make sure the speedometer is not set to km/hr

I don't know this happen , reset to mph and it worked fine, thanks Dorian , what did we do befor google , lol
