do you hear any vents open and close when you select the heat ? radiator is topped off , I don't think these had air pocket problems , A mechanic cleaned my selector contacts to fix mine , then he replaced the actuator a few months later ,(2002 lesabre) , If you can reach the heater core hoses from under the hood see if they are both warm/hot , core might be plugged , probably not a lot fun replacing it

Ck.for air lock or fill both heater hoses they should be the same tempature.theres a steal linne that runs from the upper radiator at the engine side it suppose to ba bleeder but do t allways work so if u can have the heater hose taken off this will bleed it.have your radiator cap off.

there maybe a small bolt on the thermostat housing that you can bleed system from , not sure air in the line would make for intermitent heat ,
