2004 pontiac grand am won't turn over

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 grand am ran fine this morning and when
I went to start it a bit ago, it wouldn't even attempt
to start. Tried jumping it, even though the battery is
just a year and a half old. It still wouldn't even click.
There is power to the windows, radio, etc but just
dead silence when I try to start it. Any help would
be appreciated.  Thanks.

Thanks. With some internet research and checking my owners manual I got it started. The security light was flashing and following the manuals fix worked. I started it several times within an hour to make sure it would start, which it did. If it happens again, what I learned is it the ignition lock cylinder I'll have to replace.
