2004 grand am wont start most of the time?

2004 Pontiac Grand Am Se, 4 cylinder will not always start the car is used on a daily basis. It may start it may not. WHen i ran a starter switch to inside of the car it start when i turn key on and hit switch. I have changed starter and battery same thing happens. At 1st it only did i when it wasn't hot outside. Now it do if i cut off to go in gas station when i come back it wont start. What could be wrong with it?

almost sounds like gas or fuel system/vaccum issue. how many miles on car? when you turn key is it try and start and like hesitate or just click and nothing?
