Change oil light on dashboard

2004 pontiac grand am had oil change 4wks ago
drove 1000mls now the change oil light is on.
Checked oil still full and color is clear. How do I get
light off dashboard?

Reset program in the dash the 5k miles oil change

There is a button to reset inside the fuse panel (near drivers door) and your owners booklet has simple instructions about oil/tire reset .
