I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am..sometimes when I go to start it I have to mess with the key a few times before I can get it to work and finally start. Does this mean a new ignition switch will fix this?

I had a similar issue with a 2005 pontiac Grand Am. It ended up being my key, believe it or not. My ignition stopped reading my key for some odd reason. I took my key to my local Wal-mart and fixed the problem quickly. I hope that helps you...

I actually called Art Moehn and gave them my VIN# and my car has a recall on not the ignition switch but the key itself. So after work today I am going to take my key in, she said it should only take about 20 minutes. Thank you!
