Car makes a click but doesn’t start

Got gas an a hour later tried to start the car when it
started it started jerking an wouldn’t take no gas it
wouldn’t go over 35 mph after driving like that for a
hour or so it was getting harder to start but now it
won’t start the battery is good an so is the starter
