Breakline leak and stuck in park

I recently bought a car a definate fixer upper
lol. My problem is the car is stuck in park.
There was a leak in breaklines I thought
once that was fixed it would allow it to shift
but its still stuck. I have tail lights so i dont
think its the break light switch. I'm not real
car smart any suggestion's would help thank
you!

It is a safety switch at the shifter,you can remove the cover at shifter and manualy move the lock and release the shifter.

I think your shiter is in the floor,remove top cover from it and you can access the switch,youtube vedio will show you,but i think you just remove the cover not dash.
