2000 Pontiac Grand Am- Car dies after driving for a short period of time

My son's car just started to die after he drove it for awhile. It wont start if you try to start it
right away but will start again after you wait for about 20 mins. Has anyone else had this
problem

it is possible that the fuel pump may be losing pressure. sometimes it takes a min. to do so then when the motor gets hot the pump loses pressure. and when it cools down it starts working again. this is only my guess hope it helps
