I have a 1997 grand am gt 3.1 that cranks over but will not start, i replaced the waterpump, thermostat, fuelpump, head gasket, lower and upper intake gaskets, the theft light stays on, car will start

If your theft light is on, that is your problem. The computer is not letting the car start. I would bring it someplace and have the anti-theft reset. You can research how to do it online, but that doesn't always work.
