I have a 95 grand am less then 137,000 miles

When I run the heater the car heats up if i turn the
temp down and the fan to the 2 position the car
stops over heating what am I missing

Need answers new water pump new thermostat the only thing I have not replaced is heater core

Do you hear the radiator fan come on? Try this,, the next time it happens turn the defroster on .. the radiator fan will come on full speed once the AC is on and defrost uses the AC

Maybe your heater core is blocked and is not letting coolant flow freely through it.
