Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I noticed that the fuel gauge will not work when it stops working and it will crank
over for a few try's and then stop. I have bypassed solenoid and starter turns,
switched around relays and tried grabbing wires under dash and no change.
Then out of the blue it started. and ran for awhile and has gone back to not
starting again. Has anyone repaired this type of problem?
