car is silent when key turns on

car ran,replaced transmission,now it wont turn over or crank,when I turn the key its silent,replaced started,battery is charged and good,cable connections are clean and good,no fuses are blown,what can be the cause?

My guess: faulty electrical connection that may be related to your recent transmission work. Otherwise, bad ignition switch or dead battery. A mechanic can usually figure it out if it's not turning over at all. It's the problem that only happens randomly that's very tough to figure out.
