what is the differance between 3.1l chevy malibu engine and 1994 olds cutlass supreme 3.1l engine?

i have a 1994 olds cutlass with a 3.1l engine but the block is cracked bad!!!   i also have a 2000 chevy malibu with a 3.1l engine and nothing is wrong with it. can the malibu engine be put in the cutlass and what all will need to be done to make it work?
