Asked by Chris May 05, 2017 at 10:42 PM about the 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS Spyder

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm having trouble with my heater. It only
blows out cool air. I've filled the coolant and
still nothing. What could be the problem?

Have you used any stop leak product in your radiator? If so heater core possibly stopped up. If not then double check your coolant level. These cars need to run a bit after filling radiator to belch all the air out of the system. Allow to cool and check level again. If low then fill radiator back up. Start car and allow to idle with radiator cap off. USE EXTREME CAUTION. Watch the level. As air belches out add more coolant. When it appears to steady out then put cap back on.
