why would fixing the power antenna lead to a electrical surge and effect a number of lights and radio?

Clock/radio display.on top of dash is a 15 amp fuse in drivers side fuse panel. It also does the cig lighter. Number 16 I believe. It may also be also be tied into ant power. Not sure though.

while there was something "real" to my problem I realized later I had not reseated two fuses (two that are in a yellow "box" for no apparent reason) that controls, you guessed it, radio...........whether another type of "relay" reset itself I don't know...........it was weird but now apparently every part of the car works and is happy..........

The fuses are in a fuse box under the hood. I had the same problem and his answer helped me figure out the problem.
