What would make my car start bucking while driving down the interstate?

Had been driving for 30 to 40 min with no issues then it back fire's one time then
started bucking. The motor will turn over and idel but even in idel it shakes hard

sorta sounds like your O2 sensor or maybe even a clogged cat but that should throw a CEL (check engine light)
