2005 Grand Marquis rattle at idle

Asked by RevTodd Aug 21, 2019 at 03:24 PM about the 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis GS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When the car is idling or running at a steady speed, there is a rattle that is
coming from the engine area under the car. When I hit the accelerator, it goes
away. The sound is like a stone in a metal jar rolling around. Checked oil and it
is good. It started quietly and now it is quite loud.
