A little help, please.

Asked by Jul 17, 2017 at 11:10 PM about the 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis LS

Question type: General

Just trying to find out what this dial is for.  It's on
the right side of the dash, below the glove box.
The owners manual was not with the car when I
bought it.  Thanks.

It's not a dial, it's a power port, the black plug comes out and you can plug in your charger for phones, laptops, iPads, etc with the adapter for the power port, and those are avaliable everywhere, even 7/11 has them.

That does not look like a factory part to me.

Looks like a very nicely done owner installation. On my 1991 I wish it was the trunk release. A close up picture would help with an identification.
