Generally all coil packs should be replaced on a high mileage 4.6 engine. When replacing the coil packs it is best to use parts that are genuine Ford replacement parts. Some of the aftermarket coil packs are poorly made and will fail in a short time. How many miles on this car? Is the check engine light on?
