It's probably your Lighting Control Module LCM. Factory recall should have been done, Ford will pay for some repairs. Get a rebuilt one from EBAY.

It's under the dash, above the streeing column. Kinda hard to get at. Try Googling it. I paid someone to do it because of my neck.

Bad bulbs, blown fuse, bad ground at the bulbs, bad headlight switch, bad Lighting Control Module, Those are the posibilites, check the bulbs and look for corrosion first, as well as fuse.

I am having the same issue. Physically, everything looks good, as far as fuses and wiring. I have not tried the switch. How would you go about checking that, or do you just have to buy a new one and see if it works?

Replace the tail light bulbs, make sure the sockets aren't corroded, check for grounding of the sockets, I don't think they rely on ground from contacting the body, must be a wire that grounds to the body somewhere. Grounds can get ya! Do the brake lights work?

If your car has autolights/lamps ingaged make sure there is NO debry, paper, etc. In the way of your vehicles photocell/amplifier assembly ... This is located in the upper instrument panel pad left of driver aka far left corner of dashboard/front windshield of the driver. Circled in yellow on photo
