What causes my 98 grand marquis to run hot?

My car has gotten a new radiator hose and fuel
pump when its sitting to long at the idling stage the
temperature rises. Were changing the water pump
today and then the radiator tomorrow. What can it
be thats really causing the over heating?

Yes it could be part of it. Also change the thermostat out. Remember to purge the cooling system from air pockets when refilling.
