P0304 is a miss-fire of the #4 cylinder. #4 is the rear cylinder on the passenger's side. Possible causes are bad sparkplug, bad ignition coil, bad fuel injector, problem with the injector electrical connector. How many miles on this Mercury? When were the spark plugs last changed?
