I towed mine and now the transmission doesn't work (I also put a hole in my radiator when the tow bar broke but I don't know if that's related)

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I don't want to fix the hole in my radiator (which may require replacement, if my transmission is blown).  The manual says not to tow it, which I did for 1500 miles, but I don't know if that would likely ruin it or I might just have run out of fluid.

You can give it a try and fill and see what happens, but it possible you blew the transmission..

The reason why you don't tow these cars is the transmission fluid pump does not work with the engine off but the parts are still turning. There is a good chance you destroyed it but check the fluid level and try it out.

my audi is not running because of transmision. it was towed but I not sure how it was towed. Adding fluid will make it run?
