How to change spark plugs.

Asked by Fieldsie Aug 30, 2016 at 01:12 PM about the 2004 Lincoln Town Car Ultimate

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car has 140000 miles on it on original plugs. They are very tight and I'm
afraid I might break them or strip the threads with too much pressure. Can I
spray something in the well to loosen them? Thanks

Do NOT try to remove the spark plugs from a warm engine. Do as tennisshoes said and soak with diesel fuel or similar. A 50/50 mixture of acetone and ATF is said to work great.
