How many Oxygen Sensors on a 2003 Lincoln Cartier Towncar?

Asked by Jun 01, 2017 at 08:37 AM about the 2003 Lincoln Town Car Cartier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No Check Engine Light Indication but mileage dropping daily. Car has 227K miles, had it since 2005, oxygen sensors never replaced. Car has flooded out
twice just idling at traffic light.  Suspect sensors, need to know how many sensors and where to find them on the car.  Thanks for your help and response.

O2 sensors are screwed in the exhaust. you should have four total. I would change the upstream ones, or the ones between the engine and the catalytic convertors. You might have other issues besides the 02. Have a mechanic take a look at it. Change the air and fuel filter recently, maybe you have a vacuum leak that isn't tripping the CEL?
