I am preparing to leave Florida for 7 months and leaving my 2001 lincoln town car parked in hot sun thru.the summer.should i disconect the battery before leaving?

Yes. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable. If possible, remove the battery altogether and store it indoors. HTH. -Jim
