follow up question to answer

Asked by Jan 26, 2017 at 08:56 PM about the 1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

would a bad ground wire also be a reason for draining a battery dead every
three months or so?

1 Answer

Not if the car sits unused for that length of time. There's always an electronic draw from the computer(s) on the battery. So if the car is going to be sitting, disconnect the negative (-) battery cable to prevent the battery from dying. HTH. -Jim
