1997 Audi 86 cranks over but will not start

well good place to start spark. pull a plug look to see if the cyclinder is flooding from all the cranking. If it is you have bad spark most likely. but if you got spark and no gas its a gas related issue either fuel filter, pressure regulator or fuel pump. If you have both of those then check air flow, start at the MAF clean it if its dirty and check the head covers breather hoses. they are located attached one to the front one to the back it goes vice verse front passenger and then back drivers. The crank case hoses often clog and cause this issue.
