I have a 1990 Lincoln town car runs fine then dies out after letting it sit for a bit and runs then dies out. I replaced the battery and altantor and coil.

I think you may need a fuel pressure check,sound,s like your fuel pump is getting hot and cutting off.All so would not hurt to check the fuel filter
