I have a 95 lincoln mark viii the rear feels like im driving on ice from about 40 mph up. I have replaced
the air suspention with springs and shocks and also replaced the swaybar end links. i've had it aligned.
tires show no uneven wear.

Get under there and do an inspection, and I mean a real inspection, not just look for a minute. The shock(s) may have come unattached, spring out of end holder, look for anything and everything that does not look right. Is it sitting level, not one side higher than the other? Noise?

It is setting level and it does have a klink noise.

Tires could be out of balance? Hopefully it's just that..........But Have a good mechanic get that thing up on a lift anyhow. Thats a dangerous condition. If its not the tires, Something is loose on and or in the rear end. Check the axle housing and where the mounting points are. Check the rubber bushings. Pull on the rear wheels. I'd take a look inside that differential too. Make sure the axle shafts are secured in there properly. Be safe.

On a '98 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC, the rear shocks are starting to leak, actually seep, oil. I think they are air filled and have a pump run by the car motor. No longer available from Ford. Can anyone help me find a pair and what is involved in changing them out? 6 Answers

I have a 1996 mark viii with a check engine light that won't go off! I had the ecu checked at a lincoln dealer and it said I had a problem with code #720. That is the output sensor on the transmission which is not making a complete circuit. I had the ecu replaced( flashed) installed but the check eng. light is still on? The input and output sensors have been replaced along with both oxygen sensors. What else can I do to get this fixed? 3 Answers
