hi, i just bought a 91 mark bill blass i like it. when i bought the car it had no battery. i put a battery in it everything works great but after a couple off days the tripmeter stoped working ??
the tripmeter was working fine for a couple of days but now there is no display at all. anybody know what it could be ?
I'd suspect a bad ground...the black battery cable as it attaches to ground...also the battery has to be newer than five...tin/antimony batteries stop accepting a charge ten percent per year....get a NEW one...they'll "pro- rate" the old one~
wirebrush all the corrosion (which was created by dis-similar metals in a Blue Flame, creating a layer of "semi-conductor" playin' hell with varying voltages and available amperages~ a wirebrush will save the day~
everything works in the car. the battery is new all lights are fine connections are good. just no display on tripmeter at all thanks joe
I don't remember the display very well. If it's an LCD, you should be able to shine a flashlight on it and read it. If that's the case, then you just have some burned out 194 bulbs.
