Why wont my 93 LS400 upshift?

i put the car in drive and it only wants to go into 1st gear. wont shift to 2nd
gear at all. reverse works fine. parks fine. recently replaced valve cover
gaskets and intake manifold gaskets and spark plugs and wires. plug wires
are in the proper firing order. i double checked all the wiring and everything i
had to unplug got replugged into the correct spot. replaced the transmission
speed sensor as well. HELP!!!

My guess is something is still unplugged. Put a scantool on it. Your granny sounds like it's in limp mode.

I think I figured it out. Tore apart the ecu and found multiple leaking capacitors. Have all 11 new ones on the way. Will let you know if that ends up fixing the problems.
