Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok here is a question for the people out there. I have a 98 audi a4 with a 2.8L engine. I have never ever had a rad fluid issue with this car but recently i have noticed since the car is parked while i try to sell it that over a period of 7 days that it gets a puddle about 10cm in diameter of rad fluid under it. I turn the car on expecting to find a leak from the spot its leaking which is just bellow the alternator. but it runs its drives the fluid level stays the same the whole time im driving. The only lines that i can see in the area that carry rad fluid is the ones that attach to the side of the oil pan which are granted a little rusty but don't look like they are leaking. any other ideas would be apreciated.

i had a new water pump put in when i did the timing belt less then 20,000km ago. i do have a some front came seal oil leaks but they are barely even leaking since they have not let enough oil out to drip down the engine. So the only thing i can think of is the oil may have dried the seal out but i doubt it. and besides if it was a water pump seal its on the other side of the engine so the leak would be on the drivers side.

this post is a bit old but I did find the answer to the issue. The problem was caused by a couple of bad O-rings on a heating tube that runs under the intake. it runs to both heads at the back which is where the leak was. To fix it you need to remove the intake and the emissions parts on the back of the engine so new intake gaskets and emissions gaskets are required to repair it as well as the new O-rings.
