Yea it’s made by the Company that makes Toyota’s ,Just Like Acura is Made By Honda ,Just about everything is owned by someone else until you get into your High end 175K and up. As for your Lex trans ,Drop the pan ,take out the filter. Disconnect the lines at the Cooling radiator, Blow the Rad. and Lines out with air,There is a Flush solvent for Auto Trans,You’ll have to Gog it. Flush everything with This! Then with new filter in or no pan and no Filter and catch it in a Big Oblong container. Then Drain and blow out all of that if you put the pan and filter in,and Put new filter again and cheap Trans Fluid (Type for GS) and fill it ,let it idle for 15 minutes .Try Shifting through gears Try Moving Forward very little, if you can great. Do not run longer than 25 Min. Drain, New filter and either redline or Lexus trans Fluid. And you just saved $4000! If it doesn’t work with cheap trans Fluid you lost $50 to $70 .I have Brought back 7 Transmissions like This on various cars and a truck ,including an ES and a GS!!! Use common sense ,Your trying to get as much of the Black junk Out, Then putting a Cleaner in to get as much as possible out and any leftover ,then cheap tran fluid to get cleaner diluted and everything lubed, you can even run cheap through twice. Then The Good stuff and Run it Mild for 1 or 2 thousand miles no more and change again, You Should be good to go for 30-40K then,All depends on how bad clutch plates are ,how gummed up springs ,balls, solenoids etc.
