Question type: General

I am looking at a buying a used Used 1998 Audi A6 2.8 quattro Sedan AWD and it has 257,000 miles on the engine.  The owner says it has been well maintained and had regular oil changes and also that he would place it anywhere on the road.  What do you think?

It depands on how the he drove the car and how previouse owner drove. Audi parts can be expensive if your not a machenic. Take the car to the machenic $100 and dont just take the owners word. Take it in writing because if he cheated u, u can sue.

One thing that I find interesting is no area of the location of where these cars have spent there lives is given.I would be hesitant about a high mileage car in the northern climates due to the corrosive effects of the road chemicals used and the effects that they have on a cars chassis.Southern climate is a different story, hard question to answer until I know where it's spent it life.
