Question type: General

rear spoiler which I haven't found any mention of. It also has the xenon running lights and atypical headlights and no exterior model or engine emblems (i.e A 8) at all with the exception of the 5 ring Audi logo on the grill and yet it appears to be stock with the exception of the Momo wheels. Anyone know what it is? A 8 _____ ??
More importantly where can I find maintenace schedules and sites to help with minor repairs like engine heat gauge sending unit and tips on intermittant cruise control functioning (to mention two of about five) minor irritants.
What a ride though. Drove it 1800 miles across Utah, Colorado and Idaho, all the while treating that big wide open uninhabited chunk of the planet with the respect a pimply faced teenager might exhibit on his first road trip and found the car very resposive and comfortable. Difficult to imagine what a new one must be like... but this good is good enough.
Thanks,
Brian

It sounds as though the other options you are talking about may have been dealer installed. Spoilers especially are usually a dealer-installed option. As far as maintenance schedules, if you call or write to Audi, they should provide a copy of the owner's manual with suggested maintenance schedules either free, or at a reasonable price. The vehicle is new enough that the factory shop manuals may still be available from Audi, if not showing up on Ebay. They are the best way to go if you want to do any kind of troubleshooting or repairs on your own. A Haynes manual may also help.

Audi USA will "sell" you an Owners Manual, but will not sell you a "repair" manual. Thay must be purchased from Robert bentley Publishers. Haynes does NOT make a manual for Audi.

I just bought an Audi A8 1999 Quatrro AWD and I need the owners manual. Do you have this owner's manual and if so how much are you asking and what form of payment do you take? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks
