Tires/rims

Asked by Larry Oct 13, 2017 at 01:12 PM about the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Question type: General

Has anyone put different size tires on stock rims for
2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee? I have 235 65r 17 -
wondering if the 245 70 would work...or what my
other options would be. It's stock suspension and
2WD...anyone?

1 Answer

Those tires will probably work but check for clearance. The 245/70's will be taller but only 3/8" wider. You could always go with 60 or 65 series tires to keep the diameter closer to stock.
