What to tow a car with my jeep

I have a 2006 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4w and it
has a stock tow/haul in it. I need to know if I can
tow my dodge avenger with it for a 1000 mile trip

Depends on a couple things. Is the hitch a standard receiver hitch? (is there a 2" x 2" square hole for the hitch?). If so, you likely have a Class III hitch. Use this link at UHaul.com to see what the rating is: https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/HitchGlossary/HitchSystemRatingPopup/ Second question is are you going to tow with a trailer or a Tow dolly? A trailer is heavier but will keep all 4 wheels off the road. A tow dolly would probably be fine (just the front wheels off the ground). With a tow dolly, you cannot rally back up when the card is loaded. Your Grand Cherokee should be able to tow the Avenger.
