Heater Core hoses have been spliced together to eliminate coolant leak in 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee but coolant in STILL leaking onto the passenger side floor board. What else could be the problem?

Thank you! It had only been two days since I had spliced the hoses and dried the floor board. I hadn't thought of that. I've re dried the floor board and will monitor a few more days before panicking.
