Noise/shaking while taking sharp turns

Asked by Jeff Jul 02, 2016 at 03:12 PM about the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just purchased a used 2005 grand
Cherokee with low miles approx 88k and
suddenly when I make a right or left turn I
feel something wrong in the front end. I'm
pretty sure the car hasn't been drivin much
in the last year and took it about four
hundred miles. I'm getting shaking and or
grinding feeling when I turn the wheel in
either directions. Just put new tires on the
jeep before the trip and am stumped on
what's going on. There is no whining noise
and I've checked the power steering fluid
so I've thrown out that possibility. Any
thoughts would help! Thanks:)

Maybe a hub bearing is going out, I'd keep it off the road except short low-speed trips to get it to a shop.
