sounds like the fans clutch locked up making the fan run at the same speed as the engine best way to check is to try to spin the fan with your hand (engine off and cold ) if the fan doesnt move / spin easily then the clutch has locked up and you will need to replace the fan. if it does move easily then will need to look elsewhere

There is no fan clutch, it is hydraulic and speed varies automatically.

If you didn’t use the mopar hydraulic power steering fluid it can cause damage I’ve been reading(hopefully your fans okay). Just replaced my power steering pump with the wrong fluid and ordered the mopar stuff to flush it and replace it.

The old guy at Napa told me any power steering fluid would work. He was extremely incorrect. The power steering system on a 2005 Grand Cherokee with the 5.7L engine also powers the hydraulic cooling fan. this system requires Mopar Replacement Electric Power Steering Fluid #68088485AB or equivalent. Otherwise you will clog the hydraulic fan pump and blow the power steering pressure hose .
