Hey there, I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. I keep having issues with low voltage. It happens randomly, I could be driving the car to the store then on my way out it will be low all of a sudden. The gauge reads 12-12.5 volts with the car running. I have installed a new battery and still getting the same issue. I've had the issue before but charging the battery has normally 'fixed' the low voltage. If I drive the car with the low voltage it will eventually die on me. It's been happening for about a month on and off but with a new battery I assumed that would take care of it. Obviously I'm wrong so does anyone have an idea?

Sound like the alternator would need to be replaced. That keeps the battery charged and supplies power to the electrical systems. You have ben running on just batter power at the 12-12.5 volts.

This guy is spot on my car was doing the same thing changed the alternator ran great no problems since
