A few years ago my 2004 Grand Cherokee wouldn't start. It ended up being a wiring harness which was replaced. Now my front doors won't lock or unlock eith er by remote or switch. All else working OK.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After reading all of the comments of people having similar but different problems, shouldn't Jeep do something to help us out?

I think the only time a vehicle manufacturer has to do a recall is when it is a safety issue. Even then they hate to cooperate because of the enormous expense. Another problem is that a lot of these old Jeeps never die and they're around for the next recall. The only recall for your Jeep would be a free trailer hitch which may provide some protection for the gas tank in rear end collisions. I got mine plus $100 in September 2014. Wiring is extra if you want to actual tow something legally.
