A radiator from a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee will probably not fit a 2003 Grand Cherokee. That is jumping from one generation of Jeep (1992- 1998) to another generation of Jeep (1999-2004). Not much was kept the same. I can find that radiator new for as little as $70 so that's what I'd do.

If you are buying at a salvage yard, they don't give refunds on mistakes....or anything else, just exchanges until they don't have anymore. Okay. Looking at Spectra Premium radiators just for example, part number is CU1396 for the 1997 Jeep, and part number for the 2003 Jeep is CU2262. Uhh...that's not a match. Won't fit.
