Jeep grand cherokee door jam boot

So i had no power to drivers door .
Removed the boot, black wire was broken
, fixed it works great. But i cannot figure
out how to get the boot back over the
white plastic piece ????

You can use some spray silicone to slip the boot over.

I got one side on but i cannot get the back side on , it seem i cannot get the white plastic piece off the body and keep it far enough to tretch the boot over , it there some trick to this ?
