2002 grand cherokee new blower motor twice with new resister only blowing at 20% speed. what did i do wrong?
i replaced the blower motor and the resister yesterday, but the fan would only
blow at about 20% speed and the motor got really hot, so i replaced the motor
again today, and same results. what did i do wrong? how do i fix it?
could it be my vacuum lines?
Something must be dragging on the impeller and you don't see it because the fan has to be running to suck it in ... Most DVM's have a current scale of 10 amps ,, that should tell you what's going on because if the motor draws more than 10 amps at 20% then your getting a partially locked rotor ... you should be blowing fuses well before the motor cooks
the second motor isnt running hot, but if im dragging something in the impeller, should i dismount the motor and look for anything in there? pull out any loose debris? fuses are all fine, just almost no power.
